Animism / Thai Folk Religion

On the surface Thailand is a Buddhist country. But under the surfice of Buddhism there is a deep history of spirit worship and many anamistic practices from different parts of Thailand's long history.

This is a collection of some of the anamistic practices we have experienced in our time in Thailand. We have found that when a Thai person is in distress many times they turn to a system of appeasing the spirits in order to recieve help, good luck or fortune.
